At Artistic Garden Designs, our goal is to create outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and functional for families across the Bay Area. This San Carlos wine garden transformation is a perfect example: blending California casual style with lush planting, practical hardscape, and plenty of room to relax or entertain.

Our clients dreamed of an inviting garden that would suit gatherings with friends, quiet evenings with a glass of wine, and safe play for their children. We designed a multi-purpose layout featuring a custom seating area shaded by established olive trees, drought-tolerant Mediterranean plantings for color and texture, and gravel pathways that encourage strolling and exploration.

Safety and sustainability were priorities throughout the project. We installed low-voltage landscape lighting for ambiance and evening use, drip irrigation for water efficiency, and non-toxic finishes on all woodwork. Durable porcelain pavers and decomposed granite walkways create easy flow from patio to garden, while raised beds offer space for edible herbs, cut flowers, or a small vegetable patch.
