Garden Idea - Homegrown Hideaway

A small tree and mid-size shrubs replace the arbor in the previous design. Their lush greenery provides a sense of enclosure and privacy year-round, and the cool flower colors (blues, pinks, and whites) will soothe the senses even as the temperature rises.

Reliably evergreen, the wax myrtle’s deliciously scented leaves will cast dappled shade over the bench all year. The camellias, viburnums, and abelias are evergreen too, their dark glossy foliage a perfect foil for pink and white blossoms.

There will be flowers in every season: sweet-scented viburnum in early spring, roses from May to October, camellias and November, and narcissus for snow white blooms in winter.
